Yasue Larsen

Biography

Yasue is originally from Japan and currently live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Art is her childhood hobby, but she could not pursue it until recently. In 2005, she had a near-death experience which let her realize how fragile life actually is, and therefore cannot be wasted. She suddenly realized what was missing in her life, and has perused her artwork actively since.

To Yasue, paintings are expressions of her opinions and emotions, which she would like for others to hear. Her artwork is created from her person experience and emotion, therefore very unique and rather abstract. As she creates each painting, she is hoping viewers can hear her voice embedded within it.


Yasue works in diversified Medias in traditional, digital painting and mixed media photography.
