Biography
UPDATE:
Back living in Calgary after 3 years in Edmonton. On a personal note, I went to Edmonton looking for love, and came back 3 years later knowing a lot more about life, love, art, and myself.
My series of 11" canvas prints is going to continue in photography, digital artworks, and of course printing custom canvas photos for people. I'll be posting more updates on line shortly.
Here's a little about my past works:
"great artwork"
- Calgary Mayor Dave Bronconnier, about 'Centre Street Bridge'.

UPDATE: This is quite an honour, my "Historic City Hall" artwork was chosen by Calgary Mayor Dave Bronconnier for the official 'Office of the Mayor' 2006 Christmas Cards.
“The piece captures the fine details and texture of what is a distinctive and iconic building in our city. Your creative use of light provides a unique perspective of Historic City Hall and the digital image lends a contemporary feel to a 100 year old architectural structure.” - Dave Bronconnier - Sept 2006

May 2008. After a few years of successfully selling artwork on ebay I have now switched to only having my work right here on Support Local Art and also on ETSY.COM. Etsy is similar to Ebay but only allows the selling of 'hand made' items. Keeping three separate online 'stores' running was taking too much time away from creating new art (which is what it's really all about, right?). My Etsy store is:
digitalartist.etsy.com (you can click on my etsy banner below).
AUGUST 2007. I am now living in Edmonton. I will continue my popular Calgary series artwork based on requests, so please contact me. Otherwise, watch out for some new and exciting works of art coming from Edmonton.
JUNE 2007: Two of my digital paintings were juried and chosen for the City of Calgary’s Signal Box Enhancement Program. These two images will now be displayed on traffic light signal boxes in Calgary’s downtown core.

I believe that my artwork speaks for itself, but in case you would like a second opinion, here are what a few others have had to say... :-)
"I very much enjoyed the artwork… and went through all the photos carefully and studied them at length. You are highly skilled and deserve much commendation."
- Allan W.Eckert. Author of 39 published books, and seven separate nominations for the Pulitzer Prize in literature.

"amazing picture, Chris. Cool stuff!"
-Brent Butt. Star of CTV's smash hit Corner Gas.

________
"I enjoyed viewing your digital art, including your Greater Than the Pun of its Arts series. You really do have a great sense of humor! It clear that you have taken great care in the development of the intriguing story-line concepts and of your paintings, which are rich with fine detail and texture. I also enjoyed viewing your colorful and dynamic abstracts that you've painted with conventional acrylics. Wonderful!"
-Cher Threinen-Pendarvis. Digital Artist and author of the "Painter WOW!" series of books, and "The Photoshop & Painter Tablet Book"

_______
"To me, art is all about originality and creativity. Art should be something that you enjoy looking at, finding new details and nuances for years to come. I hope the thoughts and ideas that I put into my art continue to inspire and amaze my collectors each and every time they look it."

In addition to his fine art pieces, Christopher Bailey has also done various design and logo commissions. Highlights of these designs include the Official 1998 Atlanta Olympic Pins for the countries of Egypt, Gineau Bissau, and a complete 'day pin' set for the Republic of Georgia in the fromer Soviet Union.
To stay in touch with his fans and buyers, and to remain true to his belief in commission free art sales, Christopher began the Support Local Art.com online art gallery service in 2004.
